Children and youth theatre “Balagančiks”

Children and youth theatre “Balagančiks” is 16 years old and Jurijs Zinovjevs has always been its leader and director. The theatre was awarded in lots of international children and youth theatre festivals.
Although the school theatre is mostly based on the principle of freewill and children’ own initiative, the financial segment is necessary for successful and appropriate development of the theatre. The developed traditions of the school theatre and the professionalism are the guarantee for the quality of submitted projects.
On the 14th of January of the year 2008 members of the theatre decided to make an organization “Liepaja children and youth theatre “Balagančiks””, in order to participate in project competitions, attracting financing for producing plays and improving professional activity.
The aims of our organization are:
1. To develop skills and talents of children and youth;
2. To support the development of children and youth theatre,
3. To provide interesting and productive opportunities for spending the leisure time;
4. To contribute to the development of civil and national identity.
