Liepaja municipality institution “Liepaja Youth Centre” participates in different international and local projects as a leader and partner. It is a good possibility for Liepaja youngsters to gain new knowledge and experience through all the activities and projects which have been launched by our centre.
The main international work of Liepaja Youth centre has been focused around the region of the Baltic Sea.
Liepaja Youth Center is working in the field of European Voluntary Service.
In our daily work we communicate with youth NGOs and student councils, to provide current information, advice them in different fields, give support and involve them into projects.
At the moment our main challenge is to create “Youth House” in Liepaja and I am sure we are going to achieve this ambition.
The biggest thanks I wish to say to our active youth NGOs, cooperation partners in Tallinn (Estonia), Kalmar (Sweden), Kolding (Denmark), Kiel and Rostock (Germany), Kristiansand (Norway), Chelm (Poland) and Liepaja City Council for supporting us.
I have a firm belief that the youth is the main resource of development for our society, it is the agent of change and our mission is to invest and work together.
American writer Pearl S. Buck said: “The young do not know enough to be prudent, and therefore they attempt the impossible, and achieve it, generation after generation.”
